Xcaret

Xcaret Xcaret is an ecological park and resort, located south of Playa del Carmen in the Riviera Maya, and gets it´s name for the  Maya civilization archaeological site. Many small Maya ruins lie through the park. Xcaret is Mayan tongue, and means "small inlet", referring to the inlet the Mayas used to bathe in to purify themselves, before travelling to Cozumel to worship the Goddess of Fertility, Ixchel.
