Santiago de Querétaro
Santiago de Querétaro is the capital city of Querétaro, founded in 1531. It is a popular tourist place, its historic center is full of buildings, constructions and landmarks, that shows the cultural and historical heritage of the city. The most popular of its main sights is the city Aqueduct, built between 1726 and 1738, funded and constructed by Juan Antonio de Urrutia y Arana. The Aqueduct features 74 arches and goes for 1.280 meters with a maximum height of 23 meters, and its pourpose was to take water to the Convent of the Holy Cross from some springs east of the city.
